Fenstür Climatech Lift and Slide vs Imago Lift and Slide

Both are timber lift and slide doors with the same published rating. Climatech is the workhorse: all-wood or aluminum-clad, in two-panel and centre-opening layouts, with very large, heavy panels. Imago trades options for looks: thinner all-wood sections, concealed hardware and a built-in drainage channel, in a two-panel layout only.

  • Choose Climatech Lift and Slide if you need a centre-opening layout, an aluminum-clad exterior, or the largest panels.
  • Choose Imago Lift and Slide if sightlines matter most, an all-wood exterior suits the design, and a two-panel door fits the opening.

Fenstür Climatech Lift and Slide and Imago Lift and Slide differ on frame. Neither leads on the published performance numbers.

Performance
Performance, range across configurations
U-factorHow fast heat passes through the whole window. Lower is better insulation. US values are in Btu/h·ft²·°F.
Not published
SHGCSolar heat gain coefficient: the share of the sun’s heat that gets through, from 0 to 1. Lower keeps homes cooler.
Not published
VTVisible transmittance: the share of daylight that gets through, from 0 to 1. Higher means brighter rooms.
Not published
RatingThe NAFS performance class and grade, e.g. CW-PG70. Shows the loads the window passed in testing.
LC-PG30
Design pressureThe wind load, in pounds per square foot, a window is rated to resist. Upper floors, corners and coastal sites need more.
Not published
STC / OITCSound transmission class: how well the window blocks speech-range noise. Higher is quieter; 32 and up is noticeably quiet.
